Help us make a difference.

At FABIS, we believe in the power of community to uplift and support survivors of Acquired Brain Injury.

Our mission is straightforward:
to support survivors of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and their carers by offering opportunities for connection, relaxation, and joy.

Why we exist

Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with a brain injury.

Many survivors live with “hidden disabilities” such as fatigue, memory loss, and emotional challenges—issues that are not always visible but profoundly affect daily life.

Life after an ABI can feel very isolated. FABIS was founded by volunteers who recognised just how essential social connections and breaks from daily struggles can be for ABI survivors.
Since then, we have worked tirelessly to offer hope and meaningful experiences through holidays, day trips, and social gatherings.

We believe everyone deserves moments of peace, friendship, and understanding. That’s why we provide holiday grants, organise social events, and create a community where survivors and carers feel genuinely supported.
