These were just some of the compliments received for FABIS’s signature event, “Call My Wine Bluff.
Fun, fellowship and laughter were much on display as eight teams contested to assess the provenance of 6 wines ( 3 white and 3 red) . For each wine, 3 different accounts were given by the “bluffers”. Teams were pretty evenly matched during the first half. This hard work was rewarded with delicious platters of fromage and charcuterie during the break. The determination to win the Amity trophy was evident in the second half, but it ended in a dead heat between “Rogues of Roman Roads” and “The Thirsty Murder Club.” Both teams will hold the trophy for 6 months and then present it to the winning team next year.
The event was only possible by the generous sponsorship of Enable Holidays and Birketts Solicitors. The money raised will go towards sending a FABIS client and his/her carer on a free holiday
